Neighbourhood you live in: Marylebone
It’s Thursday morning. What’s the scene at your workplace?
Since I work for myself, I have the privilege of starting my mornings slow. I begin with a 20-minute walk to grab my favourite coffee from Caravan or Miel around the corner. This year, I’ve made it a ritual to dedicate 20 minutes each morning to reading (I’m loving The Mountain Is You by Brianna Wiest). Afterwards, I tackle emails and messages, followed by meetings and calls around 10 or 11a.
What’s on the agenda for today?
I have a few venue viewings for our new Supper Clubs and a call with our partner hotel to debrief on recent events. I always try to fit in a workout, either around lunch or late afternoon, since I enjoy working late and prefer not to interrupt my flow. In the evening, I usually catch up with friends in the area or attend an event – there’s always something happening in London.
Any restaurant plans today, tonight, this weekend?
During the week, I usually stick to local spots in Marylebone to save time on travel. My favourites are Lita, Kinkally, Fischer’s, Lurra, Santo Mare and Chiltern Firehouse [temporarily closed]. This weekend, I have a booking at Dalla, a new place in Hackney I’m excited to try out.
How about a little leisure or culture?
The House of Koko always has plenty of cultural events happening. I’ve booked tickets for their upcoming live drawing event and the Reconnection Workshop with Aisha Paris Smith. Both sound amazing.
Any weekend getaways?
I recently got back from Estelle Manor, which has some of the best spa baths in the country. It’s perfectly located just an hour from London, ideal for a quick getaway. Other countryside hotels I highly recommend are Cowley Manor, The Pig, Hampton Manor and Heckfield Place.
What was your last great vacation?
Mexico. We explored five different cities, each offering a unique, unforgettable experience. One highlight was staying at Cuixmala, an eco-resort on the Mexican Pacific coastline. I couldn’t recommend it more.
What’s a recent big-ticket purchase you love?
I love hats. I’m always on the lookout for something unique. Last winter, pillbox hats became a huge trend, and after searching for the perfect one, I finally found it – a Gigi Burris hat on Net-a-Porter. I’ve been obsessed with all the looks I’ve created with it; it’s exactly what my wardrobe was missing.
