Among the treasure trove of independent restaurants and bars on Bristol’s Chandos Road, casual Korean spot Dongnae stands above the rest. Opened in 2024, it’s the second restaurant from Kyu Jeon and Duncan Robertson, the charismatic couple behind similarly beloved Bokman (closed since December due to a fire). On a solo visit in January, I felt immediately at home – there’s a real warmth to the staff and a laidback, neighbourhood vibe.
