HOP, SKIP, JUMP: After the closure of Lyle’s in May, Shoreditch’s historic Tea Building is getting a new tenant. In early 2026, popular Sri Lankan spot Hoppers (from the ever-growing JKS restaurant group) will take residence in the industrial space just off Shoreditch High Street. It’ll be the fourth London site for Hoppers, and comes 10 years after their first. Sign up for news.

The Skinny: The casual outpost of Dalston’s beloved Angelina, Osteria Angelina opened in May between Spitalfields and Shoreditch, with unusual combinations of Italian and Japanese influences in the same spirit as the original.
